‘Fishing Rods’

i mean the 100-200$ rods, i am a hobbyist fisherman but not a hardcore one, do i really need it?

also where can i get some cool caps for the fishing trip.?

Rods with guides on top, are they spinning or casting? Or both, cause isn’t a Zebco reel a casting reel, but used on top instead of an open bail witch is used on the bottom? Oh boy, I’ve gone crossed eyed.

Is the 10ft rod better than the 9ft 6" rod for making long distance casts in reservoir fishing? Or does the rod action make the difference? Is the faster action better? Or is it the make/quality of the rod the deciding factor? (Assuming I am a perfect caster of course..lol)

My fishing rods keep getting tangled when i store them in my boat.No matter what I do it always happens please help.

My boyfriend is a huge fisher, and just lost his flyrod! since he does so much, i thought this would be a nice time to give him an upgrade from his "walmart" purchased flyrod. Any ideas?

I am planning a trip and I wanted to know what sort of fishing rods are used while fishing in the ocean? Because there is no way ordinary lake fishing rods will work. So I would like to know brands, names or any links of where I can find these fishing rods. Also if your fishing with live bait what are the chances of hooking a shark, if a shark is hook what are the precautions you take in order from keeping yourself from harm?

Looking at fishing places such as jetties, off rocks and estuaries etc. Trying for the occasional trout, tailors, breams and the like.
Any suggestions for rods that come with reel? I’m looking around more or less dependent on whether a couple more bucks is worth it. Been to BCF wondering if there’s other places to look and been considering ebay.

I was wondering about all the diffrent types of fly rods, line , and reels and what makes some so expencive and some fairly cheep. I have a 5 piece 8′ 6” #5 graphite White River Indian Point combo it came with a rod, reel ,line leader, and case. It cost about 0. I was considering upgrading my line and mabey my rod soon. But before I even think about that I want to know what am I going to get out of a 0 rod compared to one I have now and compared to one of those 0+ dollar ones. And compared to a reel I have now or a much more expensive ones like 0. And the line should probley be a diffrent question all together but I was thinking this is probley the most important part of the rod setup so could I get some advice on the line. So basically I was wonder What I will get out a rod that cost just as much as a whole set of things just like mine. And I relly don’t see the between the two besides a few things like flexability length weight, and most importantly the price.

Yea, well i just want some tips for fishing trout, like what flies to use, i know how to cast and how to fight a fish, so, please help.

My buddy and I will purchase a deep V saltwater boat for retirement. I want to catch large and small game fishes like tuna, swordfish, mahimahi…etc. What is the best rod and reels to purchase for fish weighing approx. 40lbs-1200lbs?
